The WMK9 Foundation provides professionally trained service dogs and police K9s to veterans, first responders, and communities in need — making sure cost never stands between someone and a life-changing, life-saving canine partner.
Founded in 2019, the WMK9 Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides professionally trained service dogs to veterans and first responders — and police K9s to the communities that need them. Our mission is to make sure financial barriers never stand between a person and a partner that can change, or save, their life.
A service dog can mean independence, stability, and a way forward for a veteran or first responder carrying wounds that don't always show. Cost should never be the reason they go without one.
We kept running into the same wall: the right dog existed, the training existed — but the price put it out of reach for the people who needed it most. The Foundation knocks that wall down. We fund the professional training, careful matching, and placement that puts the right dog with the right person.
Service dogs for veterans and first responders come first. Police K9s for our communities come close behind. Both are professionally trained, carefully matched, and given without the financial barrier that stops too many from ever getting one.

Placement is the start, not the finish. We support the dog and handler with care and follow-through for the life of the partnership.
